INTERVIEW TECHNIQUES & CV (RESUME) PREPARATION
OBJECTIVES
The goal is to provide you with the skills and tools necessary to prepare your CV, write a cover letter, plan and rehearse your job interview and write an elevator pitch. Upon completion of the training, the trainee should be able to:
- Match their skills with the advertised job.
- Job interview tips: how to plan and prepare.
- Revise action words when designing your CV.
- Revise grammar tenses to practice your job experience.
- Write a cover letter and a short elevator pitch.
PROGRAM:
- Prepare trainees for the cultural aspect of an English job interview.
- The ability to communicate and interact in real-life interviews and elevator pitch contexts.
- Clarify selling points and the reason the trainee wants the job.
PEDAGOGICAL METHODS:
Interview techniques include competency-based questions using the STAR Method: Situation, Task, Action and Result.
Listening comprehension and speaking practice.
Grammar and vocabulary exercises.
Alternating theory and practice.
EVALUATION PROCEDURES:
Interview role plays and elevator pitch.
Oral examination.
Written exercises.
Discussion activity.
